They’re not chasing every setup, not posting PnL screenshots, and not treating leverage like a personality trait. Most of them are just trading the same few conditions over and over – range expansion, failed breakout, liquidation sweep, reclaim, momentum continuation – and managing risk hard.
If someone is actually sharp in BTC perps, you’ll usually notice a few things:
* they understand market structure before indicators
* they size small enough to survive bad reads
* they care about execution, fees, funding, and invalidation, not just “direction”
* they know when not to trade
A lot of newer perp traders overestimate TA and underestimate process. Reading charts matters, but what usually separates the solid ones is consistency, selectivity, and staying alive long enough for edge to matter.

맞아요, 핵심이 바로 그거예요. 일관성은 단순히 거래 패턴뿐 아니라 그 움직임 뒤에 어떤 힘이 작용하는지를 이해하는 데서 나옵니다. 많은 거래 패턴은 유동성과 포지션이 함께 움직일 때만 효과가 있죠. 그게 없으면 깨끗한 돌파나 추세 지속도 금방 멈춰버립니다. 그래서 더 많은 패턴을 찾는 것보다 그 패턴 뒤에 실제로 힘이 있는지 아는 게 더 중요해요.

This is pretty much it. I’d just add that most of the consistency comes from understanding what’s actually driving the move underneath, not just the setup itself. A lot of the “setups” people trade only really work when liquidity and positioning line up behind them…
If that’s not there, even the cleanest breakout or continuation just kind of stalls out.
So it ends up being less about finding more patterns and more about knowing when those patterns actually have fuel behind them.
