제가 생각하기에 많은 트레이더가 실패하는 이유는 실제 돈이 걸리지 않은 페이퍼 트레이딩만 하면서 감정이 거의 개입되지 않는다는 점인 것 같아요. 몇 시간마다 몇 천 달러를 버는 게 쉽다고 착각하게 됩니다.
해결책은 경쟁적인 트레이딩에 참여하는 거예요.

프로프 트레이딩 회사도 비슷한데, 마치 16살 아이에게 차를 사주고 기름이나 보험만 잠깐 대주는 것과 같아요. 아이 입장에서는 큰 손해를 감수하지 않아서 사고 내도 걱정이 덜하죠. 이런 회사를 이용하는 것도 가능하지만, 경험 많은 트레이더가 아니라면 잘하기 어렵습니다.

Here's my take, paper trading is a way to hone the skills of being able to get into and out of a trade, your entry and exit points and to utilize what you did right or wrong. A paper trading account should also be done utilizing the exact amount of money you're going to use in your real account because using a million dollars trading and you make $5,000 doesn't mean you can put 20 bucks in that same stock in a real account and make the same amount.
Like using prop firms, I think they're like when you buy your 16 year old kid a car, they might put gas in it or pay the insurance but really doesn't have a lot of skin in the game so when they total it come back to mom and dad say hey when you going to buy me a new car. Prop firms can be used but you really need to be a seasoned Trader to really do good with them.
As in both scenarios above nothing will take the place of your real money in a real account that you might lose but the two above can help you hone your skills in an industry that gobbles up 95% to 97% of the participants and spits them out.

우선 본인만의 강점이 있다는 걸 증명하는 게 먼저라고 생각해요. 감정이 앞서더라도 수익을 내기 위해 기계적으로 해야 할 일이 뭔지 모르면 별 도움이 되지 않죠.

You need to first prove that you have an edge before you even need to feel anything. If you’re already “feeling” things, but you don’t even know what you have to do mechanically to be profitable, it doesn’t reinforce anything worthwhile.

경쟁 트레이딩이라는 게 어떤 건진 잘 모르겠지만 저는 단지 거래 플랫폼을 익히려고 페이퍼 트레이딩만 했어요. 페이퍼 트레이딩이나 백테스팅에서 다 배우는 건 아니니까요. 적은 금액으로 거래하고 리스크 관리만 잘하는 게 중요합니다. 어쨌든 트레이딩은 경험하면서 성장하는 과정이니까요.

Not sure about this whole competitive thing your talking about , but I only did paper trading to figure out how to use my platform for trading . Not everyone learns in paper trading or back testing . Just take small trades and follow your risk management. It’s your trading journey no matter what you have to go through the growing pains of trading .
