Best thing in my opinion is a cold wallet. Cold wallets store your "key" offline and some don't even have batteries. The main point is to never take a picture of your key words or write them down digitally anywhere. They exist separate from the Internet entirely and can be protected physically. The other biggest safety tip I have would be to always check the address you are transferring crypto to and always always send a small test amount before commiting to transferring anything larger.

**wallet draining** \- you connect your wallet to a fake site or sign a transaction you don't fully read, and a smart contract empties your wallet automatically. Happens in seconds, irreversible.(the most dangerous imo)
**flash coins / fake tokens** \- someone sends you tokens that look valuable but can't actually be sold. or they create a token, pump the price, then remove all liquidity and disappear. classic rug pull.
**crypto logs / info stealers** \- malware that sits on your device and waits for you to paste a wallet address or enter a seed phrase, then captures it. that's why clipboard access in apps is such a big deal.
**dirty crypto / mixing scams** \- Someone pays you in crypto that came from illegal activity. You don't know it(you're a puppet), but now you're holding it and potentially on the wrong side of a compliance issue. For scammers it's basically laundering.
the common thread in all of them: urgency, "too-good-to-be-true" returns(like 1000% in a week....), and pressure to act before you can think(they will force you to make a decision ASAP). Slow down, verify everything independently, and never share your seed phrase with anyone for any reason🙏.
