Or the dollar tanks in more significant fashion and being all cash wouldn't be the best option. While I don't think this scenario is likely either in the near future, it's interesting that every apocalyptic scenario that this sub discusses always seems to come to the conclusion of "YOU BETTER SELL EVERYTHING" not "Maybe I should own more real assets like these energy stocks that did well in 2022 when inflation was higher but now nobody seems to like very much."

it is in Trump's interest to keep jacking up the stock market. I think at this point it's apparent that he does not care if that means devaluing USD or destablizing foreign or even domestic markets. As bad as it sounds, Donny will take you on a ride. Whether that ride lands on the promise land where most people's lives are better off are debatable. But numbers will go up if he gets his way. For your own interest, it's not a smart idea to pull out of stock markets right now,

I’m not sure what your point is. Dump your entire portfolio? At what point in the history of the stock market was there a general feeling of calm, no political turmoil, no wars, no protests? Please let me know so I can study that period of stock performance.
