Usually day trading involves a lot of trades. Once you have sufficient number, you can easily provide a mathematical proof that it is not luck.
So, there are day traders that are provably not lucky (at least in those market conditions they trades)

I KNOW it's skill. Look at my last post from a few months ago.

Since then, I've been funded at a (mostly) reputable proprietary trading firm - Topstep. I've been funded since December 12 and have withdrawn 10k in payouts as of today.

Without constraints impossible to answer. I’d say there is enough examples of profitable traders in such a variety of situations that it is likely a skill that is possible to attain. I trade profitably over all the time frames I trade. Is that a skill or is my way of thinking just “lucky” for this time in the market. Obviously I’d like to think that is all skill and my superior intellect and “hard work” is why I win. But the reality is the sample size for most of us is so small and the time frame so short in a market,that overall is relatively “the same”, it would be foolish to make that assumption. Edges tend to disappear and changing with the market is required. A “skill” that made you money one year might work to your detriment the next year. So while I think it is a skill possible to achieve it’s almost impossible to know if you have ever achieved it except in hindsight.

Depends on variance.
