You’re investing in a company that is going to make AI for business. If you read SpaceX’s S-1 that is like the entirety of their business plan, 26.5 out of 28.5T of their predicted market. Space is an afterthought.

In other words you’re paying for tall tales that while remotely possible have a stupidly low probability of happening and an even lower probability of being possible.

We will never colonize mars. *Never* And look, I love Star Trek, but space exploration in this universe is not only a practical nightmare, it is also pointless.

The biggest problem, before we even get to the absence of the magnetosphere, the absence of liquid water, inadequate atmosphere to support water/life/respiration and nowhere to get it, the need to import literally everything to survive on Mars from earth because it will *never* support life, the BIGGEST problem is there is absolutely no fucking reason to go.

There is no arable land, there is no fuel, there is no water, there is no mineral or ore or resource that creates any reason to go to Mars. Colonization would be a supply-chain nightmare and could never self-sustain. It would be easier to colonize the bottom of the ocean, or the top of Everest, than it would be to colonize Mars, but also there are things there that we might give a shit about.

So no, this will never, ever happen. Science fiction writers have to invent reasons, literal Macguffins to make this make sense. But this is the largest obstacle. It's not technological. It's like saying we're going to spend 20 trillion dollars to just burn the money permanently for the fuck of it. There is nothing for us on Mars to colonize it for.

Stupid question but if everyone is pricing in what a company COULD BE instead of what it is, then doesn't that just limit upside potential? like $2T company becoming a $20T company seems unlikely, but a $200 billion dollar company becoming a $2T company is plausible, and then you have a much better chance at 10xing your investment.

If everything is 'priced in' then where is the opportunity for growth?
