I think the value of AI is using it for research. I don't think AI is good at trading or helping you with a strategy.

I use it for psychology

I only made the mistake once, last month, of using AI to help analyze the price action on one of my holdings. I talked me through a very thorough, well reasoned argument over where to stop out on a trend I was uncertain of the strength of, and the optimal point to say where the trend was clearly broken. I was really impressed with how comprehensive a grasp it had on price action, supply and demand, charting, etc.  As a bonus, when it was totally wrong and got me to place my stop about a buck over the bottom of a brief dip that was followed by resuming the upward trend, it explained in great detail what it had gotten wrong in its analysis, and apologized profusely for my losses.

Chatgpt is usually eager to please you. So if I bias with my bias, it tends to agree. You have to almost be a detective and ask it probing questions to get anything meaningful. The recent bond spreads (corporate) will give you a rosy picture but then there was a case where most of the corp bonds are getting junk status. I still haven't figured out what it means. I feel like I need to teach myself more about bonds.

The guy's over at deep mind must have been sitting on their hands on this issue so that they don't totally destroy the hopes and dreams of millions of traders. But the AI they developed first beat the best Go player than the best Chess players, then the best Starcraft players, then it learned to fold proteins and that felt impossible.  I honestly don't think we have much time left to even attempt day trading without getting ran over by the AIs that will be available to the big firms. Logorhythmic trading increased in market share rapidly and AIs will make algorithmic trading look like child's play.
