If you're just messing around with trading for fun, you might get lucky and win some big trades, but overall you'll underperform the broader market. Trading has changed my life, but it required significant effort and dedication on my end to becoming more knowledgeable and skilled. You're up against market makers, institutions, algorithms and other investors. You not only have to create a strategy that is successful, you have to make it repeatable. Then on top of that, you have to execute said strategy to perfection. You will have learn to manage your emotions to make difficult decisions in stressful situations, day after day. You will also have to learn patience and to wait for your set up, not forcing trades. Sometimes the move is literally not making a trade that day, feeling like you wasted a day from inaction but understanding that inaction was required to protect your capital and not take a loss. Conquering your greed is essential. Understand, the majority who try this fail. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't willing to consistently commit full effort over a large time table.
