네. 사회의 일원으로서 당연한 일이라고 생각합니다. 저도 그 시스템 덕분에 이만큼 올 수 있었고, 이제는 다른 이들도 기회를 갖도록 일부를 환원하는 거죠. 굳이 가정할 필요도 없는 문제입니다.

물론 그럴 겁니다. 지금처럼 시민을 무시하는 권위주의 정부보다는 세금이 훨씬 낫죠. 돈을 더 버는 건 어렵지 않지만, 시민을 진심으로 아끼는 정부를 만드는 건 정말 어렵습니다.

이건 좌우 문제라기보단 방식의 문제 같아요. 불법 체류자 추방 자체는 동의하지만, 지금처럼 법 절차도 무시하고 헌법도 어기는 건 받아들일 수 없습니다. 개인적으로 투자는 정치랑 분리해서 보려고 합니다. 그런데 트럼프가 시장을 노골적으로 조작하는 건 정말 불쾌하네요. 투자자 입장에서도 그렇고, 시민으로서도 더더욱 그렇고요.

Not really left and right thing. For example, I support deporting the illegal immigrants, but the methods being employed by the state (lack of due process, violation of constitution, deaths of citizens) does not feel acceptable to me. I usually keep it out of investing though. Money is money.

Also, the obvious market manipulation being done by Trump is really appalling. Both normal me and investor me hate it.

저는 그렇게 할 겁니다. 안정적인 발전, 공정한 규제, 사회 안전망이 있는 국가가 좋거든요. 고세율의 진보적인 도시에서 노동조합 직장을 다니며 42살에 순자산 400만 달러 정도 만들었습니다. 예전 고향인 보수성향 주에 머물렀다면 절대 이렇게 못했을 거예요. 파란 주에서 돈 벌기 어렵다고들 하지만, 근면하게 일하는 사람에겐 오히려 기회가 많습니다. 그 대가로 세금 몇 퍼센트 더 낸다면 괜찮습니다. 억만장자가 되려는 건 아니니까요. 그냥 마음 편히 살 수 있으면 좋습니다.

Yes. A more stable country with consistent growth, fair regulation for public safety, and social safety nets is what I want. I’ve managed to amass about 4 million net worth at age 42 living in a high tax, liberal city in a high tax liberal state, working a union job. And that’s coming from a red state where there is NO way I’d have thrived or amassed this much money if I’d stayed. So despite what red state people may say, blue places don’t make wealth impossible for hard workers. If social peace and safety comes at a cost of a couple percent to me? Cool, dog. I’m good with that. I’m not trying to be a billionaire. I’m just happy to be comfortable.

많은 사람들이 독점은 막고 경쟁은 장려하는 정부, 기본적인 삶이 보장되어서 여유 자금을 투자로 돌릴 수 있는 사회를 원합니다.
하지만 지금의 사회는 돈이나 권력에 중독된 사람들이 이끌고 있어서, 이성은 사라져 버린 지 오래입니다.

Rational capitalists want workers who can afford products and who are healthy enough to continue working not because they have to, but because they want to and feel they can.

A lot of people want a government that prevents monopolies and encourages competition. They want a society where people have extra income because their basic needs are met at reasonable prices and therefore can put those surplus earnings into investments.

What we have are societies run by addicts. Their rationality has gone out the door because theyve become addicted to money or power.

믿기 어렵겠지만, 세금이 높은 나라들이 오히려 더 부유한 경우가 많습니다. 물론 뭐든 한계는 있죠. 세금은 인프라, 건강한 노동자, 교육을 통해 자유시장 자체를 가능하게 만듭니다. 사실 민주당은 대기업에 혜택을 준 적도 많고, 그 이후 주식시장 상승이 있었던 사례들도 있죠. 높은 세금이 불만이라면 러시아처럼 암시장 활성화된 나라에서 사는 방법도 있어요. 그런데 거긴 수도도 없는 인구가 20%나 됩니다. 참고로 미국은 0.6%입니다.

Believe it or not countries that have high taxes are often WEALTHIER than those that don't. Of course like all things there are limits. Taxes help make free enterprise possible as it goes towards infrastructure, healthy labor force, and an educated labor force. If anything democrats have subsidized big business and often we see larger booms with them afterwards.

If you don't like high taxes you can always live in a country with a healthy black market such as Russia where 20% of the population don't even have running water (0.6% for the US).

요즘 진보가 '워크 문화'에 휘둘리는 경향이 있지만 사실 많은 사람들은 단지 시장과 사회의 안정성, 법치, 그리고 소득 배분을 원합니다. 사회주의나 공산주의를 지지하는 건 아니죠. 게다가 미국 시장은 공화당 정부 때 성과가 더 나쁜 경우가 많기 때문에, 그들을 권력에서 멀리하는 건 이성적인 투자 판단이기도 합니다.

The left has been "hijacked" by wokism, but many people simply want a government that provides stability in the markets and society, enforces the rule of law and redistributes some of the gains. They aren't in favour of socialism or communism. Besides, US markets perform worse under Republican administrations, so it's a sensible business decision to not have them in power.

막상 수백만을 벌고 나서 세금 액수를 실감하면, 공화당으로 옮기는 사람들도 많습니다. 결국 보수주의가 더 현실적으로 느껴지니까요. 특히 직장 다니고 일하는 사람들이라면 더 그렇습니다.

Once they make their millions and realize how much they will pay in tax they switch parties to Republican and realize Conservatism makes a lot more sense... especially if they have a job and actually go to work.

여기 사용자들 중 4분의 3은 주식 한 번도 안 사봤을 겁니다. 그냥 정치 이야기하려고 주식을 핑계 삼는 거죠. 차트만 들여다보다 돈 다 잃은 뒤에도 정치 논쟁하러 계속 이 커뮤니티에 남는 사람들이 많아요.

its reddit my guess is 3/4th's of the people on this board have never bought a stock, use stocks as an outlet to argue their politics, and think investing means looking at graphs and then after losing all their money stayed on the sub reddit to again, proxy argue their politics.
