노동자들에겐 정말 최악의 소식이죠. 열심히 일한 만큼 제대로 된 몫을 받지 못하고 경영진이 이익을 독차지하는 현실이 계속될 뿐입니다.

Some context, the union is striking over bonus, not pay. They recently rejected a $400k bonus and want a 15% cut from operating profit while Samsung offered 10% going forwards + one time exceptional bonus per the AI hype cycle. This whole strike is all for show. South Korea wants to prove that they aren't owned by Samsung and union is "totally legal" to the whole world. You know how much South Korea seek validation from pro-labour Western countries.

I guess some actors went overboard and actually planed on striking, so the South Korean/Samsung government had to remind them this is all an act and stick to the stript.

In actuality, if there was a real strike, a Samsung helicopters would have flown above the protest and started raining bullets like in Tehran. South Korea is a cyber punk dystopia/capitalist hellhole after all.
