Yes, profit is possible and the upside is extremely huge, look into Qullamaggie. On the other hand, if you don’t find it fun/have an interest in it, there are other hobbies and business models that will put you in profit many times faster and be less uncertain/mentally taxing.

Its not easy for sure! If you actually want to be profitable you need commitment. Im kinda new and i have been doing this for about 2 months now and im still on paper trading, im still trying to find my perfect setup and find consistency.

Especially if you just plan on doing it to make side money without a deep interest or commitment. There might be some more basic, casual swing trading strategies that are less stressful and easier.

You HAVE to be ready to lose money to make it here. No, that doesn’t mean put money aside specifically to lose, it means you have to be mentally ready for the shock when you lose money even when you think you are right. Everyone goes through it and even the best of best day traders go through it. This is more of a phycological game than skill, even though skill does matter, your mental thinking will be the tie breaker.
Learning wise, everyone learns at their own pace, some people learn in a few months some a few years. Like others have said, i’d recommend getting an MT5 demo account and just getting straight to the feel of the charts and learn along the way. You can also go down the route of learning everything first and then demo trading but i don’t recommend that i feel it’s a waste of time. There’s plenty of info online on what to learn and how to learn.

I'll give you an easy, safe, and fast way to make money without wasting time:
1. Learn what risk management and compound interest are and how they work, and apply them to the letter (you can learn this in a day with a couple of videos).
2. Find a reliable and experienced signal provider who meets certain requirements. One of them is having at least a 50% accuracy rate, and if they offer live trading, even better.
3. Open an account with a regulated broker.

If you apply this, you'll be making money in no time and without stress. Don't overcomplicate learning trading; use someone else's experience. Learn risk management, which is the most important thing for profitability.

It can't be a hobby. It's like asking if starting any career is worth it. It can be if you're willing to put the time into it.

Day trading isn’t really a side hustle. It would be your hobby for at least a few plus years before seeing any profit.

I'd rather swing trade / position trade than day trading or scalping if I am in your shoes.

Or set aside a separate saving to Do a day trading account for it, and find out. Whatever you do, don't put all resources in it. You can find many posts telling you Day trade/scalping is a gambling scam after losing everything. And that's true for many.

Very few, like a handful, will make it through.

Like the other comments says, it's extremely hard. It's easy to make money. And easiest to lose money fast.

Or don't trade at all and find other alternatives.

One of the things I learned trading is that trading is not a hobby it is a business, if that be the only piece of advice you take from this comment make it be that. I’ve always said that trading is for people whose dream it is to trade, like mine, because people’s whose dream it is to make their living trading will want it the most. But keep in mind that there’s a good chance you will explode into a million pieces trying to learn to trade and will have to put all your pieces back together again to start seeing progress let alone success. Not trying to turn you off but this is a fair warning. If you decide not to take up trading then good for me, less competition. That’s how you have to look at this business when you get into it.
