Books, research papers, certain youtube channels. The biggest 'aha' moment was when I read the book 'Testing and tuning market trading systems' by Timothy Masters. It's a great source of information regarding methods for strategy development and evaluation. Personally I use techniques from that book in every backtest. No specific source of information. Read, watch videos, and most importantly, try new ideas based on what you see happening on the charts and ideas you have come up with based on information consumed. Think outside the box. Document your results and try to be mechanical about your execution. It is the only way to know whether your strategy works over a longer period of time.

Instead of looking for a magic strategy, try to understand market structure and macro cycles. I would start by reading One Up On Wall Street by Peter Lynch just to get into the right investment mindset. Then, for the day trading and mechanical side, go through the Felix and Friends YouTube channel. He has a free six hour beginner guide that is essentially a full course on institutional logic and market plumbing. He also has a bunch of other videos that explain how to read price action without relying on lagging indicators.
