가장 중요한 건 꾸준함입니다. 많은 트레이더가 금방 돈을 벌 수 있다고 생각하지만, 몇 달에서 1년 정도 지나면 손실 때문에 실망하거나 파산해서 포기하죠. 하지만 사실 트레이딩에 능숙해지려면 수년간의 헌신이 필요합니다. 2~5년 정도는 기술을 키우는 데 수천 시간을 투자하고 초반에는 돈을 못 버는 것을 감수해야 성공할 수 있다고 봅니다. 일찍 수익을 쫓는 것이 오히려 많은 트레이더를 망하게 만드는 이유입니다.

Length of commitment. Traders enter trading thinking they will make money soon. After a few months or a year, they are losing, dissolution and discouraged or broke from losses..and quit. When in reality it takes years of commitment to get good at trading. If more traders could commit to trading for 2-5 years- knowing they will spend 1000’s of hours developing their skill and trade for free to learn- expecting to make $0 dollars during those first years, expecting the profits come after they learn and perfect their trading. More traders would become successful.

욕심 때문이에요. 사람들은 이 사실을 듣기 싫어하지만 하루에 0.5% 수익만 내도 상위권입니다. 많은 사람이 계좌를 두세 배로 불리려 과도한 레버리지를 쓰고 큰 규모와 기회가 작용하는 법칙을 무시해요. 결국 큰 수익은 시간이 필요합니다. 제 기준에서 소규모 계좌는 선물 10만 달러 미만, 주식은 50만 달러 미만인데, 이 정도면 시간이 걸리는 게 사실입니다. 운이 좋을 때도 있지만 큰 돈을 벌고 잃는 반복이 많으니 천천히 가면서 숫자가 쌓이는 걸 믿어야 합니다.

Greed. People don’t want to hear the truth but if you can make .5% a day you are top tier at this game. People are trying to double and triple their accounts and just being over leveraged out the ass. They aren’t giving the law of large numbers and opportunity to play out. The big numbers will come. But if you have a smaller account and a small account to me is anything under 100k for futures and under half a million for stocks. Yes it takes time that is the harsh truth. It’s not a sprint. Sure do people get lucky yeah but I’ve seen people win half a million then loose a million win a million then lose two. You have to just crawl and let the numbers work

복수 매매를 하지 않고 손실을 두려워하는 마음을 통제하지 못하는 게 가장 큰 문제입니다. 많은 사람이 전략은 있지만, 전략을 아무 생각 없이 깔끔하게 실행할 수 있을 때만 그게 진짜 우위가 됩니다. 결국 '트레이딩은 시장을 지배하는 게 아니라 자신을 지배하는 것'이라는 말이 맞는 것 같아요.

No restrain over Revenge trading & loss aversion mindset. This mostly hurts traders the most. Many will have ‘Strategy’ but it becomes an ‘Edge’ only when you’re able to execute it clean without second thought. As they say “Trading is not about mastering the market, but its about mastering your own self”
