No one knows. Insiders cant trade off immediately, so buying day 0 and holding for a couple days could be fine but most believe the stock will tumble once insiders are allowed to trade off their shares. 

Safest bet right be to wait a few months when the stock price settles down. Most IPOs immediately drop.

I’ve grabbed a small handful of big-hype IPOs, and my experience has always been that there’s a massive pump on day one and you end up paying more than it’s worth, and then it tanks back to its true expected value. I don’t really do hype IPOs anymore. If you want to hold for a long time (1+ year), it doesn’t really matter. If you want a quick profit, maybe don’t buy day one. Wait for it to fall back and then buy in. That’s just been my experience. Take it with a grain of salt.

Buy SPCE for the memes

Buy QQQ and call it a day.

If you understand the risks of investing in IPO’s then go for it but if not I would wait for the hype to settle.

People underestimate how much power elon and his buddys have, theres no way they are gonna let it dump immediatley at ipo

SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI are all exit liquidity events build around hype of a bubble. You can put money in, but don't be surprise when it falls off a cliff. People are going tell you "Look at how Redditor stated about Reddit IPO!!" But Reddit at least has fundamentals. SpaceX is about to go bankrupt next year if they don't get injection, and they are on a peak of a AI Bubble .Their entire proposition is AI for the IPO according to S-1.

It will go up, but how long is the impossible question to answer.

Everyone says to ignore it but I’m really on the fence. Look at the ridiculous PE of TSLA and look at how many years it’s sustained that PE for no good reason. I haven’t seen a single Reddit post to justify its value. Look at how many people lost money shorting initially and it just kept on going up in price. Why can’t SpaceX behave just like Tesla? Because it’s valued at 1.5T out the gate? I don’t think fundamentals matter with anything tied to Elon.

Then you have all these major indexes that are going to be picking up SpaceX right away because they are changing their rules to get it listed faster. Look at how many spin of indexes there are of SP500 and Nasdaq. That’s going to create such an insane buying pressure that I can’t see insiders selling that much that the price will tank.

It’s crazy I see absolutely no justification for the price. I know insiders are going to dump shares like crazy and get rich overnight. Yet I still think against all rational thought the price is going to go through the roof. It’s probably going to be the most valuable company by the end of the year with 5% of the revenue of NVDA.

Make some real money on SPCE instead
