가족이 데이 트레이딩을 단순히 하루 종일 컴퓨터 앞에 앉아있는 것이라고 오해하는 경우가 많습니다. 하지만 데이 트레이딩은 집중력과 준비, 위험 관리 등 정신적 에너지가 많이 필요한 활동입니다. 투자자들은 주변의 오해와 편견에 흔들리지 말고 자신의 노력을 지켜내는 게 중요합니다.

요즘 가족들이 저보고 하루 종일 컴퓨터 앞에서 아무 것도 안 한다고 하더라고요. 정말 열심히 차트 보고, 위험 관리하면서 시장 시간 내내 바쁘게 움직이는데도 말이죠.

어제는 여자친구가 차고 청소를 하자고 했는데, 그 시간에 저는 변동성이 큰 시장에서 포지션을 관리하고 있었어요. 제 계좌가 여자친구의 아르바이트 수입보다 훨씬 크다는 걸 알면서도, 근육 쓰는 일이 아니니까 진짜 일이 아니라고 생각하는 것 같아요.

엄마도 마찬가지에요. 트레이딩이 도박 같다고, 정상적인 직장을 가져야 한다고 계속 말하니 속상합니다. 사실 우리는 우리 사업을 운영하는 셈인데, 책상 앞에 앉아있다 보니 게으른 사람으로 보이는 것 같아 답답하네요.

정신적으로 너무 힘든데 이런 걸 이해해 주는 사람은 직접 해본 사람밖에 없는 것 같습니다.

트레이딩 한다고 해서 개인 생활에서 게을러질 수 있는 건 아니에요. 거래 전이나 후에 차고 청소도 하고 가족일도 챙기고 자신도 돌보세요. 그런 다음에 트레이딩하는 게 좋아요. 주변 사람들의 지지가 있어야 힘든 시기도 잘 이겨낼 수 있으니까요. 나중에 예상치 못한 큰 손실이 생길 때도 도움이 필요할 수도 있으니 다리 끊지 마세요.

trading doesn't mean you get to be a lazy bum in your personal life. take care of the garage before trading or after, do the dishes for your family, get them all settled and take care of them and yourself.... THEN you can trade. trust me on this... having people on your side is much better than negative energy and resentment. there will absolutely be a time where you will have a disaster in trading - a huge unexpected loss or something - and you will probably need support to get through that. don't burn bridges.

저는 정규직 일하면서 출퇴근 시간이나 쉬는 시간에 휴대폰으로 데이 트레이딩해 수입을 두 배로 늘리고 있어요. 육체적으로 부담 없는 일이지만 제 계좌가 말해주듯 분명한 일이자 직업입니다.

No, I day trade at my regular job on my phone while actively doubling my income in the same compressed timeframe. And as a bonus I trade on my days off too- it’s not a physically demanding way to make money, but my account doesn’t lie: this is work and I’m getting paid to do it.

포지션은 하루 종일 관리할 필요 없어요. 실시간으로 리스크와 리워드를 조절하는 도박과 비슷합니다. 15분 차트 기준으로 진입 기회가 많지 않으니 항상 모니터 앞에 있을 필요 없고, 감시도 휴대폰으로 충분히 가능합니다. 그러니 차고 청소하거나 설거지도 할 수 있습니다.

A position doesn't require management. You are gambling and adjusting the risk reward component on the fly. There simply aren't that many quality entries during the day that you need to be there watching. Say you are entering on a fifteen minute timeframe, setups given that meet entry are low. Also you have plenty of time before price comes back and probably are never more than two seconds away from your phone that can text you when price is approaching a planned entry. Trades meeting entry on this timeframe can take the entire day to play out. Or longer. You should be able to clean the garage and unload the dishwasher.

많은 트레이더가 너무 많은 일을 한다고 생각할 거예요. 일기 쓰기나 백테스팅은 필요하지만 하루 종일 차트 분석할 필요는 없죠. 차트 대신 주가가 오르거나 내릴 이유, 혹은 오늘 왜 그런 추세인지 기본적인 연구를 하는 게 더 중요해요. 차트 분석은 최소한으로 하고 위험 관리를 철저히 하면 차트에 매달릴 필요 없습니다.

A lot of traders would think you’re doing too much. Journalling, backtesting if necessary, but what chart analysis should take you all day? Replace chart analysis with researching on the fundamentals as to why the stock should go up or down this week, or why is it trending this way today so you know how long you can stay in a position. Chart analysis should be kept on the minimum. Risk management should take care of what many people try to burden the charts with. A good risk management is one you don’t babysit 🤣

부모님들은 어디나 똑같은 것 같아요. 저도 이게 내가 원하는 거라고 말한 걸 후회해요. 매번 "하루종일 집에서 컴퓨터만 한다"고 하니까요. 조언하자면 무시하세요. 지지해주지 않는다면 쓸데없는 대화할 필요 없어요. 노력과 성과는 혼자서 이룬 것이니 나눠줄 필요 없습니다.

Looks like parents come in the same font everywhere. Mine are the same, I regret ever telling them this is what I'm interested in and what I wanna do. Now evrry argument is "you're home all day, every time in front of the pc, wasting time, doing nothing, playing games all day". My advice is just ignore, if they aren't supportive there's no reason for meaningless interactions. Keep your hard work and success to yourself, you built it on your own through countless hours and no one deserves to bave a piece of that

저는 월~금 오전 7시부터 11시까지 거래합니다. 거래 후에는 기록 검토도 하고요. 안 좋았던 날에는 진입과 청산 포인트를 더 꼼꼼히 봅니다. 지난주 월요일은 쉬는 날이라 다시 정리했는데, 그 주 화~금요일은 18개 종목 모두 수익 냈어요. 모멘텀 트레이딩은 백테스트나 하루 8~10시간 모니터링이 많지 않아요. 때때로 검토는 필요하지만 시스템에 얽매이지 않습니다. 초반에는 컴퓨터 앞 시간이 많지만 전략이 잘 정리되면 적게 앉아도 됩니다. 전 아침에 트레이딩하고 저녁에 다른 일을 하죠.

I trade Mon-Fri 7am till around 11am. I review my trades before I shut my system down. If I have a bad day or bad week, I spend a little extra time reviewing entry and exit points. Monday the 18th I had a bad day, did some reviewing but still had not the best rest of the week. So last week Monday was a holiday I really sat down and did some reviewing all my entry and exit points. Tuesday thru Friday I traded 18 stocks and green on all of them. As a momentum trader there's not a lot of back testing strategies or having to sit at the computer for 8 to 10 hours a day. Sometimes reviewing E&E points and charts might need to be done but I'm not a slave to the system. As you are learning there is a lot of time spent at the computer but as you get your strategies in order, you begin not to have to spend as much time at you desk. I trade in the mornings and work a job in the evenings.

대부분 데이 트레이더들은 1~2시간 내에 거래를 마칩니다. 9:30부터 4시까지 하는 이유를 모르겠네요. 수익이 난다면 4시 이후에 집안일 하면 됩니다. 거래 검토까지 할 필요 없어요, 이미 끝난 일입니다. 진짜 실력 있는 투자자는 자기 확신이 강해서 자신의 일을 존중하지 않는 여자친구를 안 만나죠. 물론 장기 수익이 있다는 전제하에요.

Most daytraders are done in 1-2 hours. Idk why you're trading from 930-4, just get your position and move on with your day. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt tho and assume you're profitable, in that case just do your chores after 4. You dont need to be reviewing trades, whats done is done. A real profitable trader is sure of themselves and wouldn't stay with a gf who doesn't respect their career. This is assuming you're long term profitable of course.

진짜 조언 하나 드리자면, 사무실을 빌리세요. 책상이랑 인터넷만 있으면 되고 저렴한 곳도 많아요. 이웃집 방도 괜찮고요. 가장 중요한 건 집이 아닌 별도의 공간에서 일해서 가족들이 자기 하루 종일 있는 거 안 보는 거예요. 저도 전통 직장 다니다 재택근무 해 봤는데 몇 번을 일한다고 해도 "이거 잠깐 해줄래?" 이런 말 계속 들어서 힘들었거든요.

Here's some real advice: Rent an office. All you need is a desk and an internet connection and you can probably find something pretty cheap. It could even be a room at neighbor's house. The most important thing is to have a space away from home where they don't see you all day. I work at a traditional job and I tried work from home a few times but no matter how many times I said I'm working, I'd get "oh can you do this quick it'll take 5 minutes?".
